Parley 0.1.12: faster starts, better global connections and improved audio
This release focuses on the time before translation starts, the connection to translation services around the world, and the continuity of translated speech.
Less waiting when you start
We streamlined translation preparation, authorization and billing startup to reduce repeated work and unnecessary round trips. Two-way translation can prepare its directions more efficiently, with more reliable transitions when starting and stopping.
Better connections around the world
Regional service selection and direct translation connections reduce avoidable network detours. Website and download acceleration remain separate from live translation traffic, while dedicated production infrastructure helps keep service responsiveness more consistent.
Audio pipeline improvements
Continuous audio transport, encoding and playback handoff have been refined to balance responsiveness and audio quality, with steadier delivery of translated speech.

Version 0.1.12 / 2026103001 is available for Windows x64, Windows ARM64, Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Windows ARM64 continues to use WebSocket transport. macOS 14.5 or later and Windows 11 or later are required.
